New IOZK publication on liquid biopsy
The availability of the patient’s own tumour material is particularly important for specific immunotherapy. However, in many cases of cancer, surgery or a biopsy to obtain material is not possible. In such cases, it is helpful to obtain a “liquid biopsy”, i.e. the extraction of tumour cells or their components from the blood. The head of our genetics laboratory is co-author of a new publication on liquid biopsies.
